I Shall Not Live in Vain~ Emily Dickinson

If I can stop one Heart from breaking
I shall not live in vain

If I can ease one Life the Aching
Or cool one Pain

Or help one fainting Robin
Unto his Nest again,
I shall not live in Vain.

I think that this poem is a model of my own writing because I also use an ABAB rhyme scheme. My poems sometimes include a moral, theme, or message. This could help me expand my writing because all the lines fit in with each other. I would also like to learn how to make all of my lines in my poetry fit in and make sense with each other. I would love to adopt Emily Dickinson's writing style. She always finds a way to have her poetry deliver a message to adults AND children. Her poetry inspires many people, no matter what age! Emily Dickinson just has a way of grouping her words. I want to learn how to write like her and be able to group words correctly.
